Do you need a Website?

Do you need a website?

3 reasons why you need a website

A website that complements your business is a great tool to boost your sales.
If you just decided to build a home based or small business then you should get a website.
There are several reasons why you need to get a website of your own.

  1. Get a website today so that you can get visitors tomorrow. When you have your own website you can get free publicity for your home business. A website is very cheap compared to other forms of advertising.

  2. Get a website so that you can earn money while you sleep. That may sound far fetched, but your website can "sell" for you and generate leads while you play with the kids, nap or clean the house. Isn't that what we're trying to accomplish with our home based or small business?
    More life and less work!

  3. Get a website and maximize your income. When you have a website of your own you can promote affiliate products that are related to your main product and increase your income without any extra work.

So if you want a website, get one...a real one.
One mistake a lot of work at home entrepreneurs make is that of using the free web space that they can get.
This usually involves the host putting advertising all over your site cheapening your look.

Big mistake. Why? because if a entrepreneur in business is unwilling to spend a few dollars on a website,
it screams "not a real business" to the customer. You want the world to take you and your business seriously, so act like a business person and shell out for a decent website.

Website Case Study

Before and After

The owner of this site inherited it from previous business owners and didn't feel like it truly reflected his business.
It was outdated & hard to navigate through, often leaving customers confused as the links didn't always take you where you wanted to go.
Poor colour choices, bad web design and dodgy looking logo meant that it didn't look professional.
It was time for this website to have a makeover.

    Problems:
  • It sat on the far left of a computer screen and was small
  • Not responsive
  • It was hard to find information
  • Not mobile friendly
    Customer wanted a more:
  • Modern feel
  • Responsive site
  • Logo revamp
  • Mobile friendly click to call features

I consulted with the new owner and together we worked out what features, colour palette, imagery and goals the new Custom Screens and Blinds website should have.
The design process took approximately 2 weeks and the website draft was approved. The finished product took another 2 weeks.
A new logo was created for the business and I had one happy customer. Happy Ending.

Lower Advertising Costs

Did you know a website can save you money?
So you want to lower your advertising costs. But how can we do this without losing leads?

Unlike many other advertising methods such as magazines and newspapers that can be expensive, a website is a great tool to lower your advertising costs.

If you're a business you know that advertising is an important part of your business growth strategy. A website is an efficient and effective tool to advertise your business and get an online presence. It advertises and informs your potential customers for you 24/7 and works for you even while your sleeping.

Another big way that a website can help your bottom line is by not having to open a physical store and paying weekly rent. A website levels the playing field with the "Big" guys.

A website along with some other tools such as Social media pages, SEO (search engine optimisation) and google analytics can greatly help you refine and grow your marketing efforts.
A social media page can help build your audience and Google analytics helps you to see where your leads are coming from and what are the best areas to concentrate your efforts. Now thats important to any business owner. If you would like to save advertising costs with a website please contact me on 0410 793 383.
